Strengths: Well constructed surge protector, with convenient power switches for four perripherals, a master switch, and an unswitched outlet.
Weakness: Weakness actually proved to be a strength. Original purchase had defective master switch, but was immediately replaced by the manufacturer with an upgraded model.
My comments are nothing but praise for the manufacturer. I purchased this under monitor surge protector from an online merchant who would not accept the defective product back. My initial fear was that I would be stuck with no one willing to accept responsibility. Instead, one call to the manufacturer, and they immediately sent an upgraded replacement, BEFORE requiring me to send in the defective...
Strengths: Good design, fits well under monitor.
Weakness: none
After searching several power consoles I have determined that the Tripp 6 outlet under monitor power console fits our needs the best. Also am pleased to see that it includes surge protection that include the telephone.
Strengths: Very stylish and looks great when matched with a flat screen. Takes up a smaller footprint, but not as much as I had hoped.
Weakness: All the outlets are up and down so the larger power adapters have to be plugged upside down if it sits on your desk and because of that it covers other outlets.
Overall it is a great product for the price and I would recommend it to others based on looks alone. I replaced a typical bland beige power center with orange switches that were burning out one by one. This unit looks modern and slick, not blocky and boring.
Strengths: Compact Size, Neat Appearance
Weakness: Undersized power cord
I have a home office computer setup built into a closet which limits the table depth to 27". I recently purchased a 17" LCD Monitor which is black. I wanted to replace the old "putty" colored power director the monitor sits on. My shopping criterion came down to: Color: Black; Size: Small Tripp-Lite has a larger (and more expensive) surge suppressor but it was the same size as the old power...
Strengths: 5 switched outlets, 1 unswitched, and telco protection
Weakness: Red LED indicating proper grounding
Nice unit with decent specs. Each individual switch (4) has a green LED, as well as one green LED for the master switch. There is also a green LED indicating protection is on. My only complaint is the RED LED on the unit - it indicates that your wiring is ok and grounded. But why RED??? Red typically indicates bad, stop, you know - nasty type stuff. Just having it on in front of me puts me at...
Strengths: Looks great under a monitor, 6 outlets w/1 always on. You can turn everything on/off with one switch. The TMC-6 also protect tel/modem lines.
Weakness: No DSL or Cable modem protection.
I have the always on outlet connected to my fax/copier, which work great because I do not have to turn on my computer to send a fax or make a copy. Also this unit come with a Lifetime Warranty and your connected equipment is insured up to $50,000 if it's damaged by surges or a lighting strike. They should also make a white one!
Strengths: Controlling multiple devices from the same console. The look and feel of this unit is much slicker then the typical beige color under-monitor-power-centers.
Weakness: I wish the unit have more buttons and smaller size.
This hi-tech looking power center has 5 buttons. I connect the Master button to my PC. Then the other 4 buttons to the monitor, printer1, printer2, and a USB drive. There is an additional outlet in the back that lets you connect Always-On units. The whole power-center also serves as a surge protector with pretty good guarantees. I have a LCD monitor, so this unit actually sits under my printer....
Strengths: Compact design fits under the monitor easily. Front Display lets you know which items are powered and if your system is protected.
Weakness: no high speed connection interfaces
The surge unit seems just as reliable as some of its competitors. I like the slim compact design. It does not put out any noticeable heat. The quiet access buttons in front make turning on and off optional equipment a breeze. One thing it could use is a cat 5 and coax cable connection in back as well for protection.
Strengths: Can't beat the 50K guarantee! Matches the style and color of my existing components.
Weakness: Feels light and flimsy.
I bought this surge suppressor to replace an old beige-colored Curtis Surge Center on which the master power switch finally failed ... after several years of reliable service. This model is a very standard device, has basically the same features as the Curtis model it replaces, and, with 6 protected outlets, it meets my needs adequately.

Surge Protector
Strengths: Compact, Easy to use. All-in-all very good product. I'm satisfied.
Weakness: Has a computer AC/DC in the back but no button in the front to physically turn off the computer. Two of the LEDs stay on when power is off to let you know it is operational.
Great product for the home user. It is a much needed product to replace a much older brand and model. I would recommend it to others who need a like product.
