Strengths: Very good heat dissipation, my temps have dropped more than 20 degrees celcius since installing!! Easy to install, very light wont damage motherboard. quiet as well.

Weakness: NONE that I am aware of at this time.

Pick this up you wont be sorry! I purchased one of these because it was made by a quality manufacturer and it was dirt cheap. I was skeptical but this thing has blown me away so far, I am amazed at how cool my cpu is running after installing this and it is so very quiet as well!! Get one!

Vanquisher CPU Cooler.

Strengths: design, cooling fins

Weakness: size

Easily mounted to AMD board (with included attachments). Only downside of using the attached clips with an AMD board is that is can only be vertically. Besides that, cooler runs great and have yet to do detailed runs with comparing this to the stock cooler, but would expect to see decent decreases in temps. Good quality cooler and I would recommend this in the sub $20 range.

Very good cooler....great price.

Strengths: Cheap. Flexible mounting system compatable with many CPU sockedts including a lever on the AM2/AM2+ socket bracket for easier installation. Decent PWM fan.

Weakness: 775 mounting pushpins. Contact surface not smooth or polished.

Picked this up for just over $10 from Circuit City. Installed on the AMD X2 BE-2400 (45W) CPU in an AM2+ board. It was larger than I expected, but installed fairly easily. It arrived pre-pasted with a white thermal compound (similar to zinc oxide). The unit worked very well on the chip. The fan runs nearly silent and it keeps the chip between 22-26C at idle and have yet to see it go above 40C...

good cpu fan

Strengths: support both intel and amd cpus

Weakness: the screw is too tight

I have installed this heatsink in 4 custom builds now, all of then using AMD 5000+ black editions. After lapping the CPU and heat sink and using Arctic Silver 5, these PCs are able to run rock solid under stress tests at 3.2ghz! (native clock speed is 2.6ghz) Temps range 38-42C under load (17-24c idle) and even lower after burn in! This is a very good heat sink for the price!

Strengths: Compliant with most of the sockets

Weakness: Bulky

The size is very big but not heavy. The three copper heatsink touches the CPU where as the aluminum plates helps in carrying the heat further from the CPU and the fan helps in cooling the plates. The clamp is not properly placed for AM2 Socket so the fan is not able to blow the hot air out of the cabinet.
