Description
Tripp Lite's PowerVerter Alternative Power Source (APS) 3636VR can function as an extended run UPS system or as a mobile DC to AC power inverter that will recharge its battery source (user supplied) when connected to an AC power source. The unit converts 36V DC to 120V AC and features an output power rating of 3,600 watts. This model features automatic voltage regulation, which keeps equipment running through brownouts and overvoltages without using battery power. Unique design features output hardwireable for 120 volts, diagnostic LEDs, and a switch to allow the user to select between off/automatic/charge-only settings. High-efficiency operation conserves batteries to prolong run time with frequency control for operating stability. All models are moisture-resistant (NOT waterproof) for use in marine or high-humidity applications.

Charging has been great.
Strengths: Great charger. Very fast on 100+Ah batteries. Connecting DC was very easy.
Weakness: Wiring the VAC in and out. The case is PLASTIC.The top is extruded aluminum, but everything else is plastic.
I would have LOVED to see a hardware kit for this to help with VAC wiring. I have done a lot of VAC wiring. Bending 10 gauge wire for the output and 12 gauge for the input was kind of tough in that small space. A HW kit that bolted to it and had all the wiring you needed would be a HUGE plus. The case is plastic. I find this to be a negative. I am more then a little nervous to mount it...
