Microsoft Wireless Desktop-Mouse & Keyboard

Strengths: Good battery life, customizable keys

Weakness: Somewhat large, bulky

This is a pretty nice wireless set. The keyboard has plenty of preprogrammed keys as well as programmable ones. The keys have a decent feel, and the ergonomic layout is comfortable. The built-in wrist rest might be a take it or leave it for some; I like it. The mouse is also pretty comfortable and ergonomic. Being Mac compatible is great—Logitech's Mac offerings are separate (and more...

Desktop 4000

Strengths: Wireless - good signal

Weakness: Do not like shortcut controls

Great combo - keyboard and mouse are just right - very comfortable on your hands - keyboard has a nice curve and unusually big delete key (I am used to this key - since I have a logitech one with similar (enlarged) delete key). This set gets a very good signal and response is instant. With the exception of shortcut keys on left side of keyboard (weird) - would highly recommend this set - you will...

Excellent product for the price.

Strengths: Price, customizable keys on Keyboard as well as extra buttons on both side of the mouse.

Weakness: None so far.

I bought this combo and after installing it I was so pleasantly surprised that i bought another one! It even came with batteries. The keys have a nice feel to them but the mouse exceeded my expectations--It even has a magnifier feature so that you can read the text on your LCD TV when you are using one of your computer as a home theater setup. Till now I was using Logitech Wireless combo but it...

Wireless Laser Desktop 4000

Strengths: Reasonable battery life; stylish; ergonomic.

Weakness: Wireless range not up to my liking

This is a pretty good combo for the price (I bought it on sale). Seamless set up, and the battery life is pleasantly not bad at all! Pretty comfortable to use, and is ergonomically sound. I am trying to use it to control an HTPC - placing these a few feet away. The keystrokes do not seem to have an issue, but now and then the mouse displays some flakiness. Not too big of a concern though....

good product with some fixable software issue

Strengths: build in rechargable battery nice ergonomic design lots of functional keys good signal strength

Weakness: If you're using Vista, intellipoint is incompatible with certain programs when it comes to the scroll wheel. Microsoft addressed here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828677

overall satisfied with the combo. But don't pay too much for it. The listed price is around $70, it is not worth that much. Try to shop around find deals lots less cheaper if you are price sensitive. The key board is big, which is a good thing and a bad thing.

Overall, a pretty good keyboard

Strengths: The battery life is above average, the overall design is good. The keyboard shortcut buttons are placed in areas that do not intrude on the typing area.

Weakness: I do not like the mouse at all. It seems to be a little larger than others, and is not "smooth" I have actually gone back to my old mouse.

Overall, the keyboard is good. The range is good (6-8 feet) and the feel is good. The mouse isn't up to par though. I would recommend the keyboard.

Satisfied with the purchase

Strengths: Soft-wrist rest support, soft key touchs. Lighter weight of mouse. Easy Plug n play.

Weakness: So far none, performance wise. Left side curve is not impressive.

I was able to connect this to my laptop without installing any drivers from the CD. I wish it would have been more lighter. I have used other wireless keyboard &mouse from logitech and this did not disappoint me and some short keys of MS Office are really cool.

Full featured Keyboard/Mouse Set

Strengths: Erognomatic Media Keyboard, Wireless, Good Battery Life, Solidly built, hand rest

Weakness: No lights on keyboard (for Caps lock, Number lock)

In the past, I have had problems with a couple Microsoft products (both were mouse products that worked poorly). I have been using the Microsoft Laser Desktop 4000 for a little under two weeks now, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. The keyboard has just about every button that you can think of (having buttons for media functions and internet browsing). The mouse is the same way as it even...

Solid product

Strengths: -The keyboard is somewhat ergonomic, but is not hard to adjust to if having previously used a standard keyboard -Wireless up to about 6 feet -Magnifying feature

Weakness: There are not any real weaknesses, except for the fact that the button on the mouse (approximately where your palm would rest) is somewhat awkward.

Overall, this keyboard is solid. Aside from the awkward mouse button, this keyboard gets the job done and is comparable to other wireless keyboard/mouse combos in its price range.

Seems like a decent set.

Strengths: Low cost, easy setup and connection, wireless connectivity, mouse has 3rd and 4th buttons plus wheel.

Weakness: Mouse button in awkward position. Keyboard rest needs more cushioning.

I'm right handed and the mouse button on the right(forward) can be pressed easily when trying to grip the mouse but it's nice to have the forward and back buttons than not have them at all. I'm not using this frequently as it's part of an HTPC setup. So far, no problems with losing connectivity but only tested at 5 feet range. Works in Kubuntu Linux. The keyboard is kind of wide but it looks good...
