Guitar Hero II Rocks

Strengths: Easy to learn, tutorial, sponsorships

Weakness: Only rock songs - wouldn't mind having a wider variety of songs

I have never played a guitar in my life, but the tutorial made it very easy to get started and now I am hooked! Great to play alone or with a group.

Guitar Hero 2 bundle

Strengths: Lots of songs

Weakness: no downloadable content

Guitar Hero 2 is an extremely fun and addicting game to play. There are quite a few very good tracks mixed in with some not so well known songs. It has added quite a few new features from the 1st guitar hero game. GH2 is pretty easy to get used to especially if you are already familiar with Guitar hero. I wish the PS2 version offered online downloadable content. I would of waited to purchase...

Great Fun for the Entire Family (ages 10+)

Strengths: Tutorial, Practice Mode, Easy - Expert Level

Weakness: Some bleeped out cuss words, limited song styles (era)

I bought this for my 10 year old son for Christmas. None of us have any kind of musical background. We turned it on and went right into the tutorial mode and I found it very easy to get the basics. He thought it was cool that his Mom could rock out to "Shout at the Devil" and get high score on 'easy' mode within a few minutes. My husband tried it and couldn't get the hang of it and gave up after...

GH2

Strengths: Gameplay, practice mode, vs mode, multiplayer

Weakness: none

This is the best music game ever on the PS2. If you played the first Guitar Hero, you will definitely like this sequel. It contains great music and comes with even more songs than the first Guitar Hero game. Pick this game up before Guitar Hero 3 comes out.

Review for Guitar Hero II with Guitar

Strengths: Gameplay and challenge.

Weakness: None that I can thinkof.

Guitar Hero II is really enjoyable for all ages. It really gives them a challenge and trains in hand to eye coordination. I would invite others to purchase this game.

guitar hero

Strengths: Awesome controller, awesome songs

Weakness: Nothing really

This is one of the best games to be released in the past year or so. Harmonix was able to better themselves with the sequel to the original GH. They redesigned the controller to make it more responsive (and you can tell) and added some new multiplayer modes to make the playing field either more balanced or exactly the same, depending on who you were playing with. The songs still deliver, and...

Great sequel to a great game

Strengths: More songs, better multiplayer experience than the first game, which was great to begin with.

Weakness: A couple weak songs and some covers that are not as good as others.

This is really a perfect sequel to the great original Guitar Hero. There are more songs, many of them very good or great. The two player experience is much better as there is now co-op play with one person playing lead and the other playing bass or rhythm. The competitive play is better as well with the introduction of pro-face off mode. The guitar controller feels the same as the original but...

Guitar Hero II with Guitar

Strengths: This game is so much fun! You really feel like you are playing the guitar & are a rock star. It has a variety of levels of play from easy to expert, which makes it perfect for all the family to play.

Weakness: Only 2 players can play at a time

You must get this game if you have PS2- it's awesome & so much fun for the family. We can now play games with the kids as its so much fun.

Guitar Hero II

Strengths: Excellent Game Play

Weakness: Bad Song Choices

This game provides tons of fun for people of any age. You can play it for hours at a time and it never gets boring as there are four levels at which you need to beat.

Great Sequel to Awesome Game

Strengths: Harder than first, more options and features, practice mode, red guitar, very fun

Weakness: Song selection could be more diverse, only 2-player game, graphics never been amazing

I just got Guitar Hero 2 and it is just as fun if not funner than the first. They made some necessary changes and additions to this game. One of the best additions is the ability in multi-player for each player to choose their own difficulty. Practice mode is also a great addition. The game is also noticeably harder than the first. I was struggling on some songs songs on Expert from the first two...
