The cf Que 1620 is a CompactFlash GPS module with street-level, turn-by-turn navigation applications for personal digital assistants (PDAs) that operate on the PocketPC platform. This module features Garmin s new Que technology, which delivers high-performance GPS location, mapping, and navigation capabilities to handheld devices. Its sleek design doesn't add bulk to your handheld and the flip-up antenna can be adjusted to optimize GPS reception, whether the PocketPC is secured in a vehicle with the PDA mount or carried by hand.The cf Que 1620 features location awareness, address and points-of-interest look-up features, electronic mapping, automatic route generation, off-route recalculation and a basemap with highways, major streets, rivers, lakes, coastal waters, and significant borders. Its 64 MB of memory can store detailed map data from Garmin s exclusive line of MapSource cartography (MapSource CD-ROMs can give the user access to detailed backcountry contour maps, digital maps of fishing lakes, and electronic offshore navigation charts). The PC software provides trip planning plus waypoint and route storage and, on PocketPCs equipped with audio capabilities, you'll get voice guidance as well. The cf Que 1620 installs securely in a standard Type I or Type II CompactFlash slot and the Universal PDA mount allows optimum positioning on most dashboards and windshields. It also comes with the MapSource City Select on CD-ROM.

Strengths: Catches signal fast, easy to use
Weakness: takes a little time to install software
I had an garmin ique 3600, but i wanted to upgrade to a windows based GPS. I tried other company's software....I was very disappointed. Once you try Garmin software, everyone else's does not compare. Garmin's software is great, it does everything and lists phone numbers for the places you are looking up...easy to use! Plus, since this fits right into a CF slot I only have to worry about power to...

Strengths: Ease of use, manual, color maps, available topo maps, extra, satellite acquisition, immediatly recognized by pocket pc, maps may be stored on included cf card!

Bought this product to move up to a color GPS, and make my handheld more useful. This finds a fix, and gives you elevation quickly. Maps that you can zoom in or out, and verbal directions make this a fun to use, and sophisticated product. Highly recommended!
