The Mother of all Computers

Strengths: Huge display! Editing video on this machine is incredible. Price, for so much, out of this world!

Weakness: It was hard replacing my 6 year old iMac when it works fine. But my old one is 15" and this new one has a 24" monitor. Size does matter!

I use to say, to friends, if all you wanna do is surf the Internet, get a Windows PC. But with all the pop-ups and security issues I know say... Getta Mac, even if it's used, it's the best of both.

24" iMac Intel Core 2 Duo

Strengths: Compact size does not take up much desk space, Very clean looking with the traditional white and grey coloring, sleek matching keyboard and mouse, very fast Intel core 2 duo CPU, and a snazzy 7300gt!

Weakness: Although the 7300gt is a nice video card, It is not upto par with some of the cards out there today, also the CPU used is the mobile Merom chip not the desktop Conroe chip.

This is the ULTIMATE Mac for the average to experienced user. The screen is absolutely gorgeous! 24 inches as never been so beautiful! It is very bright and the colors are very vibrant! My iMac came with 0 dead pixels. Every other LCD I have ever owned has always come with at least 1 dead pixel! This machine really is awesome. It is art on my desk but it can also do so many things. It is able to...

2 Thumbs Up!

Strengths: The large monitor allows you to view more than one piece of work at a time, even if they are in different programs and all the extras that come with it are great!

Weakness: The occasional freeze up may occure if you are doing TOO many things at one time, even though multi tasking is what its good at, it still needs time to "think." Don't forget that.

This computer is the best I have EVER used! I can have multiple programs open at once and it doesn't skip a beat. Start up is fast and so is shut down. As a graphic designer whose used both pcs and macs, I can confidently say I will always be able to get my work done on this computer!

iMac - Older is better!

Strengths: Screen, design, specs.

Weakness: Graphics card memory.

This is my second iMac. First was a G5 20 inch. Love the big screen! Would have got the new version, but the glare from the glossy screen sent me looking for the senior one instead. First thing to do is upgrade the ram. 2GB should do the trick nicely. This baby rocks!

Apple iMac Desktop Computer - 2.16 GHz

Strengths: It's big, beautiful and it handles like a dream

If you can't figure out how to open a downloaded program on a Mac, you shouldn't be using a computer at all. This machine is awesome, it's incredibly user friedly and easy to operate - and may I say rock solid. Play a movie on this machine and you'll be dazzled. Surfing the net's a breeze. Making films and storing/editing photos is child's play. Best computer I'eve ever owned. I can't say enough...

24 inch i Mac

Strengths: Awesome display, all in one design, easy to use, bluetooth keybaord / mouse (optional)

Weakness: Not as easy as Mac commercial to switch over, can't upgrade internal dvd drive

This is a review of the 24 in IMac all in one computer. I am a first time Mac user and was pretty excited to see what all of the hype was about. First off this thing is really cool looking and has a great space saving design. The screen is excellent and has great contrast. Now to ease of use... not really what I expected --- maybe I am to PC programmed - but I had a few initial problems getting...

Excellent!

Strengths: Very good IPS display, doesn't have overheating problems of the new aluminum series

Weakness: Only 3Gb of RAM max

Well, if you want a very nice machine for the money grab this one, if you still can find it. It has a very nice, expensive IPS display that's great for any graphics and for watching movies. It doesn't have the the problems of its successor - the aluminum one, so if you can live with a bit slower processor, go for this one instead.

one big lemon

Strengths: Large screen, looks nice

Weakness: where to start - crappy RAM installed, won't turn on

The day our new iMac arrived we were very excited. We had several Mac's in the past; iBook, 2 PowerBook's, G5 Tower - we love Mac's but we do not love the iMac we purchased. The first day we had it, we spent hours on the phone with Apple because of a kernel panic error message. In the end we had to drive 2 hours away to an Apple store to have the RAM that was installed by MacMall replaced with...

Amazing Machine!

Strengths: Absolutely beautiful design, wonderful screen (high resolution and terrific color - perfect for movies - nicer than some TV's out there) - completely easy set up - cool tools

Weakness: RAM is a bit weak as some have said - will be upgrading

I went from a 1999 model IMac to this new machine. I work with state of the art PC's all day and have a new Dell Windows Vista laptop at home. As always, the MAC is years ahead of PC's in design, functionality and ease of use. The fact I kept a 1999 machine around all this time (just getting too slow now for videos/movies, but never had a day of overall discomfort) is something to be said about...
