Replaced SD450

Strengths: Great camera. Almost identical to the SD450 except the 800 ISO setting is a great addition and the increased megapixel capability is worth it.

Weakness: Only comes with 16MB SD card. They should've done better with that as you can only squeeze a couple of shots on there at full resolution. Canon should do better here.

You can't go wrong with Canon. This camera is slim and easy to stick in a shirt pocket, inside a jacket, or even pants pocket unobtrusively. It's fast when paired with a fast SD card. I use the Transcend 150X 2GB card and feel like I have endless storage for my needs and can shoot tons of great video. This camera is highly recommended!

So far so good

Strengths: Large LCD screen, small overall, great image quality

Weakness: Non I can find so far.

Well, I upgraded from S500 to this one. I don't see any apparent degradation or decrease in performance by going with this model. I can only notice pros, which is the fact that LCD is larger and the camera is smaller. Highly recommended.

Great camera!

Strengths: Small size, 2.5" LCD, great photos

Weakness: Doesn't have Image Stabilization for video

I bought this camera as a replacement for an SD400 which was stolen. It's a nice little upgrade. The screen on the SD600 is 2.5" which actually makes quite a bit of a difference. I debated buying the SD630 with larger screen, but sometimes I like to use the viewfinder, which the SD630 does not have. Overall, I'm very happy with the photos it takes!

The greatest DigiCam for its size and price

Strengths: Low noise level at day light and night shots huge screen for its size Macro mode is fabulous manual shutter speed control

Weakness: NON at all.

I've had the canon SD550 in my mind for a while as ive been researching about it for almost 2 weeks, but when i went to buy it from costco, they told me that they ran out of it and im not really the type of person who would like to wait for shipping so i preffered to buy from a retailer, so i get really upset and i go to sears and i find the Olympus Stylus 710 (7.1mp) which looked SO sleek and...

The new series of Elph is getting more sexy!

Strengths: New higher ISO, lower price compared to the S-series

Weakness: Expensive accessories

I just got the new Canon SD600 for a week to upgrade from my SD300. This is actually an 6.0MP camera. Pricegrabber incorrectly list it as 5.2MP. The main difference is the ISO setting. You can set it up to ISO 800, which is very helpful to shoot with low light. I tested ISO 800 and there is not too much noise. The 2.5" LCD is also clear under sunlight. You can't go wrong with it.

Canon SD 600

Switched to the SD600 from the S500 which was an improvement on an already great camera. The SD600 now allows video to be recorded and 640x480 up to a full 1GB card, and allows digital zooming while filming. An additional bonus was the outrageous amount of new shooting modes. A new color accent mode allows even a novice photographer to make Photoshopped quality images in camera! The 2.5" screen...

Good for my purposes

Strengths: Excellent photo quality, especially macro; very fast; viewfinder ability for battery conservation; large 2.5” diameter LCD, ISO800 ability

Weakness: Lacks Canon’s “Image Stabilization” found in the SD700; zoom is 3x and not 4x like the SD700; some concern about long-term durability

I use this camera those times I don't find it convenient to carry something larger (which is more often than I'd like). Overall, I'm very happy. Image quality is excellent, and there are ways to do most things I'd want. Indoors / in low-light settings, the flash isn't the best. Also, the higher ISO's one likely uses (without a tripod) do have digital noise, but it's generally only visible at...

Powershot SD600 Digital Camera 6MP

Strengths: Excellent picture quality, high ISO capability, awesome LCD screen, compact (fits right into the pocket)

Weakness: Comes only with a measly 16MB SD memory card right out of the box

I love this camera! It is so compact that it fits great into the pocket. It has a 12x zoom capability and the video recorder is so clear and the speaker for audio playback is perfect. Downloading pictures had never been faster until the SD600. It just takes a few seconds! The camera's LCD is humungous at 2.5" and the color settings feature is awesome as well. It also comes with a high ISO...

Great small-form-factor camera

Strengths: Small size, excellent picture quality, very good indoor pictures, huge LCD

Weakness: Very small optical view finder, and the standard battery complaints when using the huge LCD

Good Camera

Strengths: Small, 6.0 MP CCD,2.5-inch color TFT LCD

Weakness: Some noise when I open, close and focus

This is the first canon camera I used. It is smaller than what I thought. And it is light but it has a big LCD. You call see all the scenery you want. Good for travel. It is also very easy to use.I even did not use the userguide. One of the problem is it has some noise when I open, close the machine, also during focus. My friend told me it is normal, but this noise do not happen on my other...
