Could Be Worth It
Strengths: Works as advertised
Weakness: Expensive, poor documentation
If you already have an Epson Perfection 4490 Photo scanner, then you might as well get this if you plan on scanning lots and lots of documents. However, if you don't have the 4490, then just get one of those new multifunction scanner/copier/printer/fax machine things that has an automatic document feeder, as this accessory alone costs as much as a cheap multifunction. Keeps jaming on photo scans
Strengths: When not jamming, I love it. Good Scans when working, fast enough, clear and enjoyable.
Weakness: Only weakness I find is photo copying jams. Also, there could be a note in the box that says, setup information is on the setup disc for the scanner.
I would truly love this scanner if I could get it to quit jamming. There should be documentation in the box, or at least a note that at least tells you the setup info is on the scanner disc. Would save a lot to time. I set it up before I found this out, which did not take a genius, but I spent time not necessary. I hope someone with experience with this ADF could help me out with this photo jam....
