Strengths: Don't know, I couldn't get it to work properly on my notebook.

Weakness: This camera doesn't work properly on a notebook computer. It will work on my desktop ok, but not on my notebook. Creative Labs tech support is of no use either.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA FOR USE WITH A NOTEBOOK COMPUTER!!! After reading many posts on Creative Labs own website, too many people have had problems with it not working on their notebook, and Creative Labs tech support is of no use either. If you want to buy extra equipment to make this work like a powered USB hub, which eliminates the portability of this camera, or extra USB cards at an extra cost, go ahead. But you will be highly disappointed!

Try before you buy!

Strengths: Great video quality if it will install.

Weakness: Problematic installation.

Purchased this camera from Amazon.com 12/05. It would not install on either my Toshiba S70 or HP 6000zv notebooks. Software installed correctly but when prompted to hook up the camera, Windows would not recognize it and gave a "usb device not recognized" error on both laptops. Contacted Creative, but they were unable to solve the problem. I was able to install the camera on my 5 year old ABS desktop. Video quality was top notch, but I returned the camera for a refund when I could not use it for my notebook. Try before you buy!!

Creative Webcam Live! Ultra for Notebooks

Strengths: none that i could see

Weakness: unable to install on a number of systems

i was unable to get this camera to work on my toshiba satellite notebook as the drivers would not install. there have been a number of other complaints made to creative of this same nature, but there have been no successful recommendations issued. i would check the company website thread on this topic before buying to see if the computer you are going to use is one already noted as having issues with compatibility.

Excellent Notebook Camera

Strengths: Responds really well to movement takes a great picture and sits great on my notebook monitor. Also a great show off Item to have to impress your buddys with when they see it

Weakness: Not crazy about the manual lens flipping feature and seems easy to break if not careful with it

Overall a Great buy and 10x better the those Generic 20$ Target Cam's sink the extra buck and buy it once with confidence in knowing you got a decent product.

DGT Creative Webcam Live! Ultra For Notebooks

Strengths: Motion and tracking

Weakness: Light and sharpness

Although my laptop doesn't support 2.0 USB high speed and internet connection is slow, the motion seems smooth. This Webcam Live Ultra also has a wide view and great tracking.

I bought this webcam to talk to my fiancee using Yahoo Messenger. The picture has nice color but it is somewhat blur and dark. Perhap I need to change location for my computer.

Total piece of crap

Strengths: none

Weakness: doesnt work with multiple laptops

Go check out Creative's discussion forums in their support area and do a search on Toshiba. Myself and many others have Toshiba laptops that these do not work with. I have contacted support with no assistanced given whatsoever. In fact they have told multiple people to go get a powered USB adapter.. this totally defeats the purpose of a laptop camera. I have other Creative webcams that work fine without that hassle on this laptop. It is this model thats sucks. Dont take my word for it, go read the discussion boards yourself at Creatives support area.

DGT Creative Webcam Live! Ultra For Notebooks -...

Strengths: Clarity of the video is very good. Good digital still picture quality. USB2.0 powered, so easy plug and play.

Weakness: None.

I really liked this webcam after doing a thorough search on the net and time taken analysis. I had seen from the receiving end, how best quality picture and video it delivers. It is an awesome product for notebooks. My friend also uses this webcam and he highly recommended me.
I highly recommend this product.

Creative Webcam Live! Ultra For Notebooks - Review

Strengths: picture clarity, easy and strong clasp for notebooks

Weakness: sharpness

I bought this webcam after trying out the Creative Webcam Live. I didn't like that because I use the webcam with my laptop and it would never sit properly and would continuously "drop off".

The Webcam Ultra for Notebooks is perfect with laptops. It has a strong clasp-design so the webcam never falls. Quality wise it is pretty decent, the picture clarity is good although one needs to keep changing the focus ever so often to get the right settings. I used it with both USB 2.0 and 1.1 and saw no difference in the speed with IM clients.

All in all a very decent webcam for the price I paid.

Great Cam!

Strengths: Excellent video quality.

Weakness: Low light quaily could be better.

This is a great laptop cam device. It's built very sturdy, provides good quailty video/picture, and has excellent software.I would highly recommend this product to a friend.

Non-functional - Defective - Creative Will Not...

Weakness: Will not work on most laptops.

This device will not work on any of my three Compaq laptops (all different models). I bought two of these cameras at the same time, and neither works. Creative Labs is aware of this issue and will not admit fault or resolve.

If you plan to use this on a laptop - don't waste your money.

Strengths: looks nice

Weakness: didn't work on my toshiba notebook

After many frustrating hours of trying to get the webcam recognized on my Toshiba notebook with windows XP checked Creative site forums and realized many others were having the same difficulties. Gave up & bought logitech

Strengths: great picture quality

This is the best webcam I have ever use.
It is crytal clear, and seams to have a built in light.
When I am sitting in my chair with a light from across the room, the cam is like I have a bright light over me. The color ia also real to life.

DGT Creative Webcam Live ! Ultra For Notebooks

Strengths: Great small design, fairly sturdy construction, picture quality is good for being a webcam.

Weakness: The program isn't the best, high price.

I bought this webcam a few days ago so I could have webcam
conversations with my family. Now I am finally able to
use it the way I want. All other IM programs I tried were way way way too slow. The picture froze most of the time and the voice quality was poor.
