A "must have"

Strengths: comfortable, strong, light, right size, doesn't slip, very affordable, very well designed and made

Weakness: None so far

I did not realize how bad the strap that came with my EOS 40D was until I bought this one. The Pro Loop Camera Strap is comfortable and very easy on my neck. The material prevents it from slipping and sliding. I'm giving it top score, and it's a real steal for the price.
It's a must have DSLR accessory I cannot recommend enough.

Comfortable and Affordable neck strap for heavy duty...

Strengths: Lightweight Solid construction non slip surface price is right

Weakness: n/a

I did a lot of research before buying this neck strap. all the strengths are listed above. I am using this strap with my eos40d which is heavy in it's own, and after connecting the 200mm 2.8L IS USM lens...the combo is much heavier than your typical DSLR. This strap comes in handy because it is comfortable and seems to reduce the weight load somehow. Overall I am really happy with my purchase. If you need a neck strap that is more comfortable than what comes free with your camera and without breaking the bank...this is a great choice for you. Good luck!

Op/Tech Pro Loop Strap

Strengths: Material, Durable, Loop - very good ergonomics, Detachable strap

Weakness: none

This strap really makes your camera and lens feel lighter. It is well made with very durable material (neoprene.) Detachable feature is also very nice. The loop idea is also versatile for any camera and virtually any opening sizes. This is the strap to get if you're looking for one.

awesome camera strap

Strengths: inexpensive, durable, claim that it makes your heavy camera much lighter is true!

Weakness: none

this is a strap I use for my Canon S3, I couldn't ask for a better strap. Has a comfortable neck holder with tiny rubber beads underneath for traction. Loops easily through the camera holes with no worry for it to come loose. Offered in many colors too.

Op/Tech Pro Loop Strap

Strengths: Really makes DSLRs with larger telephoto lenses much more comfortable. Love the feel of the material.

Weakness: None so far !

I wanted a strap that was thicker,(wider), than the Nikon strap that came with my D80 camera. This strap made an immediate difference in the feel of the camera on my shoulder or around my neck. It makes carrying the camera and big lenses seem effortless. Very lightweight too !!

Adequate for heavy gears

Strengths: Decent price, good design, very comfortable.

Weakness: None so far, I just got this strap.

I'm really satisfied with this strap, it's exactly what I need for my 70-200 mm lens. With quick connect design and padded neck support, it's way off better than the stock strap.

Op/Tech ( OpTech) Pro Loop Camera Strap with Pro...

Strengths: * Noticeably lightens the load * Significantly more comfortable than stock D70 (or D100) strap * Holds camera more securely on your shoulder

Weakness: * Seems a bit pricey at ~$21 US * Edges of wide neoprene section aren't finished -- lifespan?

I settled on this strap after reading tons of comments like "reduces the weight by half" and "no more neck pain". Though I've barely had it for 2 days, the strap has made an incredible difference. The wide part of the strap is moderately thick (~1.5mm) neoprene, and then the central strap appears to be an elastic, nylon web. The combination helps to pad your neck, distribute the weight more evenly, and provide some "give". There are also little rubber(?) dots on the underside of the neoprene which help hold it on your shoulder.

Installation was a snap. Took me longer to re-learn how to remove the stock strap than it did to install the Op/Tech.

To summarize, it makes carrying my D70+18-70 lens+SB-800 flash much more comfortable. Same comments apply to my D70+ 70-200 f/2.8 (Sigma). When just carrying the D70 + 18-70 kit lens, the weight is _almost_ unnoticeable! (relative to the stock straps).

Drawbacks? Two minor ones, IMHO. (1) A bit pricey considering how inexpensive to produce this thing must be -- buy one and you'll see what I mean. (2) The edges of the neoprene have not been "finished". Therefore, I wonder if they will fray or come apart over time?

I am still rating this a 5/5 though -- It's that much of an improvement over stock.

Op/Tech Pro Loop Strap

Strengths: Price. Comfortable.

Weakness: None.

This strap is a lifesaver when carrying heavy equipment. It is very comfortable and durable. When carrying my Canon 20D+400mm 5.6L on my shoulder it feels next to nothing with this strap. Once you put the strap on your neck it feels heavier than when it is on your shoulder but not nearly as heavy when compared to Canon's included strap. Highly recommended!
