Worth the price
Strengths: Minimal optical distortion. Build quality.
Weakness: Price. Doesn't screw in completely smoothly (i.e. it binds ever so slightly).
B+W and Heliopan are the most recommended filter brands by professional photographers that I've encountered. By buying the B+W circular polarizer, I'm buying a sense of assurance that I'm getting quality.
This filter has been very easy to clean. The polarizing mechanism is smooth and non-binding. I've not experienced any vignetting, glare, or loss of resolution that I could detect.
If you're using a 77mm filter size, chances are you're using a professional caliber lens. Don't compromise the lens's quality by buying a lesser filter.

Strengths: Great quality glass.
Weakness: None
B+W filters come with the highest quality glass and it shows in the picture quality. What else can be said, if you want no picture distortion, you need to pay the extra money for B+W.

Top77mm Polarizer
Strengths: polarizes?
Weakness: price
it been a while waiting for sunny days, so i havent used it in the brightest conditions, but even on darker days it does still create a subtle effect and has a very soft gradient. i would say that using this on ultra wide glass may not work that well. may want to try the slim model in that case.

Weakness: none
B+W 77mm Circular Polarizer (MRC) Multi-Resistant Coating Glass Filter is the best circular polarizer. Made from brass material (won't easy twist) due to weather changes. Glass quality so great that would eliminate reflection that can cause bad picture. This filter good for outdoor photography (like beach, mountain, waters). Perfect companion for good quality lenses. There are no weaknesses found.
