Sharp R530EK Microwave Oven

Strengths: Large glass turntable tray, fast defrost, reheat sensor, timer, cooks fast, auto menus.

Weakness: Noisy like most microwaves today, short in interior height only 9.5", rated as 2.0 cu ft. but not quite 2.0 cu.ft of usable interior space.

Very good microwave for the price at Amazon.com. Very fast for defrosting and reheating foods. Nice looking, easy reading display, door opens easily. Love the auto reheat sensor, food is just right temp. for eating after heating. Nice built in recipe, defrost, and cooking center. Keep warm feature is nice. Would like to see another half cubic foot of interior height, for stacking when reheating large amounts of food. Cheap owner's manual, which is common today, but easy to read and understand.

Why I like our Sharp R530EK Countertop Microwave

Strengths: It has numerous settings that save time when programming a task, it provides quick results.

Weakness: The 2.0 full size microwave uses more counterspace than we would like to give up however the ability to use it on larger meals makes up for it.

Even our short time with this product has allowed us time to do other things instead of having to watch over a hot stove while our meals are cooking .The price and free shipping we got on this unit helped us to decide which microwave to purchase and we would vouch for the quality in workmanship as well. The larger capacity and power this particular unit came with will be a definate plus to our kitchen. we own other Sharp products that have lasted a long time and look forward to many years of service from this microwave.

More than worth it

Strengths: The different settings for defrost and cook for a variety of proteins, and courses. The sensor reheat is the best feature in my opinion. Reheats perfectly without recooking the dish.

Weakness: Well, in the previous one I owned, it was the noise. I just purchased this upgrade of it, and it's quiet, so no 'performance' weaknesses yet. However, it is very large, and takes up a lot of space.

I've owned this microwave for about 10 years, and due to a burnt out side panel (It was like the 4th of July every time I tried to heat something up), it was time to get a new one. Fortunately they still had the same model, but upgraded. For the price, it's definitely worth it.
