A Great Laptop Computer Backpack for Carrying Heavy...
Strengths: Plenty of storage space; lots of pockets; very comfortable; tons of padding; electronics pocket with audio port; high quality construction
Weakness: $80 MSRP is a little high, so look for a sale. To nitpick: the audio port is to one side, so using J-style earphones is awkward.
As a law student, I carry a lot of heavy stuff back and forth: laptop computer, textbooks, study guides, etc. For a time, I carried everything in a messenger bag. Then my back and shoulders began to ache. So I switched to a Targus backpack; this helped for a little while, but unfortunately, the aching returned. So I decided to try out a Swiss-designed backpack. I figured, "Their knives are good, maybe their backpacks will be good too!"
Although my logic may have been flawed, I have no complaint about the end results. Simply put, this backpack is superb. It offers tons of storage space, and I use every inch of it. More remarkably, I can do so comfortably because of this backpack's generous, well-placed padding. I've been using this model for a few months now, and my back and shoulders are feeling great. I'm still a little sad that I have to carry so much stuff, but I'm glad that I have a backpack that allows me to do so without suffering afterwards. If you're looking for a laptop backpack that will allow you to comfortably bear a heavy load, I heartily recommend the Wenger Synergy backpack.
