Lost - Season 1
Strengths: Great cast, plot twists, and adds a new twist to the plane-crashed on a desert island story line.
Weakness: Some things are a stretch, but the writers always find a way to tie in a way that makes things possible.
Great show. Thrilling and exciting. You learn to love all the characters and all their flaws. The plane-crashed / ship-wrecked on a desert island theme is thickened by the mysterious island the survivors landed on and the unexplained phenomenon that occurs on a daily basis in the nameless paradise. Can't wait for Season 2 to be released on DVD.

Strengths: Balanced storyline. 48 Survivors crash on beach, they struggle against each other, nature, and themselves. 1/2 the time u r in flashback developing main character, rest is sci-fi mystery man vs nature
Weakness: A little too much pistol pointing to be believed, 1 "torture" scene and a stabbing. Realistically, humans wouldn't return to civility after that.
I enjoyed this very much. Each episode is a cliffhanger and builds on character developement. You've got an ex Rock Star Junkie, A Doctor, A felon, A Lottery winner, A Black man with young son and Korean Husband & Wife, all with their own stories and intrigues. You've got Man vs Man, Man vs. Nature and Man vs. Himself in one story! There are morals to be learned, and even after all these episodes, the story line is interesting and addicting. I can't wait to see the second year. Good actors are a plus. (Hint) the crazy "french" lady was "DeLin" on Babylon 5. That worried my fragile little mind until I figured out from where I knew her.........

Lost is the best show ever and its always full of surprises.You totally should buy it.It is one of my favorite shows.I would give Lost a 5.

Lost: The Complete First Season
Strengths: Story, Characters, Setting, Suspense
Weakness: Nothing
Lost, now entering its 5th Season, debuted in 2004, here, the first Season is collected, and what a great debut season it was. Introducting us to characters like Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke, Charlie, Hurley, Michael, the list goes on. The first season is absolutely fantastic and will have you hooked.
The plot is great, and most episodes end with something that makes you want to go right to the next one. A lot like J.J. Abrams previous TV show Alias.
If you've never seen Lost, you're in for a treat, get the first season and enjoy it. This is a great set, very good picture, sound, and lots of special features.
Highly Recommended.
