Wes Anderson is hit or miss with me. I didn't get Bottle Rocket or Royal Tennanbaums, but this movie and "The Life Aquatic" were great. Original, quirky and what a bunch of characters. Great soundtracks too.

You will howl with laughter when Bill Murray runs over that kid's bike. . .one of the best comedies you've never seen. . .how can you not love a movie with a high-school kid doing his teenage version of 'Serpico' as the school play?

So good that I wouldn't dare try to quantify it. However, one thought that occurred to me was that all of the main characters in the story - the boy, Bill Murray, the woman - even the womans dead husband were all the same character, the same mind but in different bodies at different ages. To me it explained all of their attractions to each other.

An amazing movie. Funny, sad, weird - i loved everything about from the dark role that Bill Murray played, to the odd soundtrack, to the ridiculous scene when all the little kids are dressed like wizards throwing rocks at the bullies. This is not necessarily a feel good movie, but it's also not a movie that tries to be powerful by being depressing - it's just an odd little flick that is really moving.
