Mel Brooks does a great job, spoofing all the Star Wars characters. Pizza the Hut is the most innovative parady of Jabba the Hut I've ever. May the Schwartz be with you!! Anyways very funny movies, some flaws but nothing serious. Cheers

The Winnebago spaceship, Barf (played by the late John Candy), and Rick Moranis's Dark Helmet left me in stitches! Mel Brooks is king of the movie parodies!

Another fantastic job by Mel Brooks. Rick Moranis is gold as the bumbling villain, Dark Helmet. UPDATE: The Winnebago had a bumper sticker that read "I love Uranus"

Hilarious movie, from the comic genius of Mel Brooks. A must see for comedy or parody fans. Although a bit aged, this movie still packs a lot of laughs, and will crack you up from beginning to end.

Comedy is probably the hardest movie to make and get a high rating from me. Especially a 5. And to all of those PBeavr is an arrogant *ss haters... the fact is I rate a movie on how I see it. I don't ACTUALLY think they are made with my rating in mind. I wish they were because that would mean more sci-fi and more explosions and more arms getting ripped off. Anyway, Comedy is a damn difficult genre to master. Even for one film. What people find humorous is very diverse and even narrow perhaps. I prefer Brooks comedies to say "Monty Python". Both are funny but if I ad to choose I'd stick with Brooks. And this one mocks my favorite movie and trilogy. So hilarious and such silly fun.

Campy in the extreme, and that's what makes it good. I would have rated it higher, but Pizza the Hut was just a little too disgusting. Great spoof, though.

This movie cracks me up. Yeah, simple humor, silly humor, but it's just so goofy. Gotta love "Dark Helmet", and for some reason, I just love the "combing the desert" scene.

a great movie for nerds like me who like to quote the funniest scenes of movies. My friends and i can go on a spaceballls kick all day. This is a great lampooning of the first Star Wars movies, and i think even people who haven't seen the Star Wars movies will find this one very funny.

Well, this is a spoof of quite a few films, but most notably Star Wars. Mel Brooks's movies are almost always a hit and miss type of thing. Some jokes work and some don't. That's the case with this one too. This isn't funny all the way through, but it is fairly enjoyable.

Terrific movie...Mel Brooks is the king of spoofs, I'll grant him that! If Star Wars ever had to be spoofed, I'm glad Mel did it! Would have a perfect score if not for the actor portraying Dark Helmet...sorry, I'm just not a fan of the guy who plays him. (Rick something-or-other? He played in "Honey I Shrunk the Kids...")

it has some moments.homer simpson once said: "i thought when marge became a cop, it would be fun and exciting, like that movie, you know, 'spaceballs'. but instead it's been painful and disturbing, like that movie, you know, 'police academy'."so, compared to "police academy", this is painful and disturbing?yeah.wake up; mel brooks used to be funny, yeah, but somebody out there must respect him enough to tell the guy that his later work, like this, is just plain offal.

Spaceballs is one of the funniest Mel Brooks movies out there. It is a personal favorite of mine and it's just as funny ever time I see it. I highly suggest this movie.
